2. What data is collected

This site uses Umami to measure how the site is used. Umami does not use cookies and stores nothing on your device. No persistent identifier is created, and individual visitors cannot be identified from the data collected.

The following is recorded when a page is viewed:

  • the page address and the time of the visit
  • the referring page, i.e. where the visit came from
  • browser type and version, operating system, and device type
  • screen size and browser language setting
  • approximate location at country level

Your IP address is processed momentarily in order to receive the request, but it is not stored as part of the statistics.

3. Purpose and legal basis

Purpose. To measure visitor numbers and understand how the site is used, in order to improve its content and functionality.

Legal basis. Legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). The site operator has a reasonable need to know how the site is used. The impact on your privacy is minimal, as the data is statistical and does not identify you.

4. Processors and where data is stored

Analytics data is processed by Umami Software, Inc., which acts as a data processor and processes the data only on behalf of the data controller. Data is stored on servers in the EU.

Data is not sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties for marketing or any other purpose.

5. Retention

Statistics are retained for 6 months, after which they are deleted or kept only as aggregated, non-identifying summaries.

6. Cookies

This site does not use cookies or any comparable technology stored on your device for tracking or marketing. For this reason, no cookie consent banner is shown.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask whether personal data concerning you is being processed, and to access it
  • request correction of inaccurate data, or its erasure
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • request restriction of processing
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Please note that because individual visitors cannot be identified from this site's analytics data, the controller is in most cases unable to link the data to you, and therefore unable to act on access or erasure requests (GDPR Article 11).

The supervisory authority in Finland is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman, tietosuoja.fi.
